Once upon a time, our founder read an article about bears migrating into towns to graze behind fast food restaurants and garbage cans. These metropolitan bears ate salmon and wild berries and gained 30 percent more weight than their wild counterparts. They were also 30% less energetic, and regrettably, all city bears died by the age of ten, whereas over 60% of wild bears had long and healthy lives. This tale struck a chord with us because we frequently heard people and families complain about how difficult it was to incorporate fruit into their diets. For our friends and family, we swore to scour the globe for healthy alternatives to processed meals. As a result, BEAR was created!
