Kimchi Pancakes and Dipping Sauce

You won't believe how delicious these Kimchi Pancakes taste! 


For the Sauce:

  • 2tbsp caster sugar
  • 4tbsp water
  • 4tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4tbsp soy sauce
  • 10g thinly sliced onions
  • Chilli flakes
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • ¼tsp sesame seeds
  • ¼tsp sesame oil
  • Red chilli
  • Spring Onion 

For the pancakes:

(Makes 6 large pancakes)

  • 750g flour
  • 750g water
  • 1 large egg
  • 420g Biona Organic kimchi
  • Extra toppings (i.e. Red and green chilli, spring onion)
  • Cooking Oil (i.e. Vegetable)



  1. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce together and let it sit.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and the water together until just combined.
  3. Add the egg and kimchi and mix.
  4. Put oil in a pan over heat set to medium. 
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on the bottom of the pan and flip to the other side once the bottom has cooked. Remove off heat when both sides are darkened and cooked.
